Indigo Construction installs luxury vinyl plank (LVP), laminate and hardwood floors in Sioux Falls and eastern South Dakota, most often as the last step of a finished basement, and on their own in the rest of the house.
What we install
| Floor | Best for | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) | Basements, kitchens, baths, entries | The usual basement choice: it tolerates moisture far better than wood products, and it floats over a prepared concrete slab. |
| Laminate | Living areas and bedrooms above grade | A hard-wearing wood look at a lower cost than hardwood. Keep it out of wet areas. |
| Hardwood | Main-floor living spaces | The long-life option. Solid hardwood doesn't belong on a basement slab; engineered products are the below-grade alternative. |

Basement floors start with the slab
A concrete slab is cold, rarely flat, and can carry moisture up from below. Before any floor goes down we check it for moisture and high and low spots, and prepare it so the new floor sits flat and stays put. On a basement finish that happens after the drywall and before the baseboard and trim, so the whole room goes in as one job.
Part of the finish
Flooring is where most of our basement finishes end: egress window, framing, drywall, doors and trim, then the floor. It's also a job we take on its own, anywhere in the house.
