Drywall.

Hang, tape, finish, and the patches nobody should be able to find afterwards. Interior work, so it's booked all winter.

Drywall finishing in progress
The short version

Drywall hanging, taping and finishing for basements, additions and remodels, plus the patch-and-match repairs every house needs eventually. Year-round work, and the same crew that frames the room.

What we do

  • New drywall for finished basements, remodels and additions: hang, tape, mud, sand, ready for paint.
  • Repairs: holes, water-damaged ceilings, cracked joints and nail pops, blended so the patch disappears.
  • Around egress windows: drywall returns into a new opening, finished to match the room.

Finish quality is in the sanding and the light. We check every wall with a work light across it.

Finish levels

Drywall is finished to a level, from 0 (hung only) to 5 (a skim coat over everything). Most rooms are finished to level 4. Walls that get strong raking light, from a big egress window for instance, can justify level 5 so every joint stays invisible. We'll tell you which your room needs.

FAQ

Drywall questions.

Small repair or a whole basement, the call is the same.

Do you do small drywall repairs?

Yes. Holes, water-stained ceilings, cracked joints and nail pops are all jobs we take.

What drywall finish level do I need?

Most walls are finished to level 4. Walls lit from the side by a large window can show every joint, and may be worth a level 5 skim coat.

Can you do drywall in winter?

Yes. Drywall is interior work, so it's year-round, which makes winter a good time to book it.
